Church Conference–

With a new pastor soon arriving, it was time for our church to find a parsonage. A parsonage committee viewed several houses, and with the goal to balance affordability, the stringent United Methodist Church standards and keep the home in Hudson, has now located a suitable home.

The district committee came to Hudson to see the home and approved it. They found that the home was beautiful, two years old, meets the standards perfectly, and is accessible. Trustees and Pastor-Parish Relations Committee brought the proposal to all church members at a church conference meeting on June 5 at 7pm. The members voted to authorize the Trustees to purchase the home.

Capital Campaign Underway–

The church is fortunate to have several funds that the Trustees will use to make this purchase, but it is also expected the church will take on about $85,000 in debt. Over the next few weeks, the Trustees and Finance Committee request that the congregation consider giving generously and thus reduce the amount of debt the church will have to take on. Gifts can be mailed to the church or placed in the offering plate with “Parsonage” in the memo. When mailing a check please indicate, ATTN: Parsonage on the outside envelope as well.
